These days for the most part people pay for just about anything with their credit cards. Yeah that’s right you did read the number correctly. What we are talking about here is a standard United States government issued 1000 dollar bill. The chances are that you have never seen any of those bills in circulation and you probably never will.

It was in 1861 that the US government first issued the first 1000 dollar bills, and as with all dollar bills, there was an engraving of one of the former presidents of the US. It was Grover Cleveland face that was chosen for the 1000 dollar bill. There were other high denomination dollar bills issued around 1861, but as time passed, these high denomination dollar bills were phased out of the system.

Because of this the only places where you can see 1000 dollar bill is in museum and Las Vegas. Some of those 1000 dollar bills are presented as part of the history tour. Although there is barely any of these used by ordinary people, many movies take full advantage of this fact to show their version of 1000 dollar bills in the various program that they are showing.
